WEEK ENDING 19th NOV

One of the better weeks
The start of the week seen some freezing temperatures going as low as -4 then we had some milder weather and strong winds.
This was ideal to see the last of the leaves coming down and with good ground conditions no problem getting machinery out to clear up.
At the start of the week we cleared along boundary fence from 15th ladies tee to behind the 9th green this will speed up maintaining boundary during the season and it certainly looks allot better.
With the better weather conditions we managed to get greens & temps, tees & temps, approaches, & fairways cut.
The soil greens were pencil tinned to a depth 2" to keep the surface open improving water movement and aerating surface of the green.
All tees had a application of a light liquid feed and chelated iron to harden off going into the winter and improve colour.
I attended the committee outing on Friday and would like to thank my playing partner Andrew ( chief ) for playing so well and cementing a victory against the vice captain and the managing secretary, good company thanks again.
